Cap2Serial
The cap2serial board will convert 8 home built (custom) capacitive sensors into serial data that can be read over RS-485 by using a simple set of commands. A large variety of different sensors can be hand made,
including angular position, linear position, water level, soil moisture, etc.

Some sensors, such as the soil moisture sensor
and the finger touch sensor,
can be hand made from very inexpensive materials. More complex sensors can be made on a 3D printer using conductive PLA with insulators made from ordinary PLA plastic.
